Shaun White has been riding boards since he was four years old...first a boogie board in the California surf, then a skateboard on his brother's ramp in the backyard, and finally a snowboard. He was so talented that, at seven years old, his parents entered him in his first amateur snowboarding contest, which he won. At thirteen he turned pro. Nicknamed "The Flying Tomato," by his mentor, skateboarder Tony Hawk, White went pro in skateboarding at fifteen.
