The vicious marshal and the angry posse were hell-bent on stringing up Lake Oliver for a killing he hadn't committed. Admittedly he was an ex-convict, but he was now back on the straight and narrow--so why were the robbery and death of a banker being blamed on him? Oliver had to slip through the fingers of the posse and find out, he needed to trap the real culprit. Although he as wounded, he was aided by pretty rancher Julie Carr, and he might just have a change of escaping the clutches of the hangmen.
